Max Kessell is a UK-based photographer working primarily in documentary and portraiture. His work reflects a sustained interest in capturing communities and places at transitional moments, exploring how memory, purpose, identity, and environment shape one another.

He has exhibited work in group shows across the UK, Europe and the USA, with recent projects including coverage in Northern Ireland and the documentary series Magazine Dreams. Max has also collaborated with international organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières, producing photography that highlights human resilience in the face of crisis in Burma.
